My Door's Always Open::

I'm flat broke
Dreaming of leaving this house
...
It's not a dream anymore.
I can't go home to Idaho
I can't afford to do that and take care of myself.
I'm buying new glasses and contacts.

After school I'm going up to Popeyes
Getting my job back
Still working the flooring job
Just, I need another job to keep me going
So I have money to spend
But they'll have to play by my rules.

I'm moving out in a month
Thirty days, exactly.
I'm going to live in a trailer home
With chipped tile and torn up carpets
Out in the middle of nowhereville

Glen Rose, they call it.

Where shopping at Walmart 25 minutes away
Is more like permanently borrowing from Walmart
Where stop signs are easily stolen
Bridges begging to be spray-painted
The never-ceasing trees and gorgeous green grass
Fields that seem to never end
Full of pretty little flowers
In short shorts and chuck taylors
Soaking in the southern sky
Passing around a blueberry paper joint
Party every night
The closest female friends I've had in a while
Aside from soulmate...

I'll clean up that little trailer everyday
Turn the electricity back on
Cook some good dinners every now and then
Have a neverending supply of cigs, alcohol and maryjane...

Little by little
I'm packing my things
And bringing them out to that little trailer
I wont be ashamed
Because I'm not trash
Just that life gets hard sometimes
And I'm escaping from the control of my parents.
soulmate, you should come visit...
this is the good life.
this is why the boys wouldn't come to cabot...
this is what my life will be like soon enough...
